About the bird-brain

I grew up in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area and lived in New York and Boston before moving to San Francisco many years ago.  I’m a city walker, so how I missed the birds all these years is beyond me.

Writing is both my living and my passion. Life distracted me from serious writing in the past few years. So this blog has been a nice way for me to keep a hand in and to follow the birds — and other woodland creatures — through the trees and meadows to places unknown….
